The Fig Tree Parable: Signs, Patience, and Spiritual Growth

You know, sometimes we look at the pain in other people’s lives and think, “They must have done something worse to perish or to suffer."

But in Luke 13, Yeshua/Jesus corrects that thinking completely. He reminds us that tragedy doesn’t prove someone is a “greater sinner.” Instead, He turns the focus back to our own hearts, He says, " Unless you repent, you will perish too.”

Then He gives the parable of the fig tree, a tree that received water, sunlight, care… yet produced no fruit. The owner ( God ) wanted to cut it down, but the gardener ( Yeshua/ Jesus ) pleaded, “Give it one more year. Let me work on it.” WOW !!

That’s mercy. That’s patience.

That’s God giving us space and a short time to turn back to Him. REPENT

Friends, this parable is not about fear, it’s about urgency, it's about not wasting time & opportunities God is giving right now. It's about letting Him work on the areas that have been fruitless for too long in our lives.

If He’s giving you “one more year”…one more chance…one more moment of grace…

Don’t let it pass.

Let Him find fruit in you.

Shalom.
